Deputy mayor of the city of Zagreb Mrs Ljiljana Kuhta Jeličić participated on the 11th Conference of the Union of the Capitals of Central and Southeast Europe which took place from 18th – 20th October 2007 in Skopje. The topic of her address was the co-operation of the city of Zagreb with the central authorities and institutions of the European Union. In it she represented the major projects of the city of Zagreb and projects realized by offices, authorities and schools from the Zagreb area with the financial help from the European Union.

Besides the deputy mayor of the city of Zagreb, the representatives of the cities of Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, Bucharest, Belgrade, Ljubljana, Nicosia, Podgorica, Sarajevo, Sofia and Tirana also participated at the meeting. At the end of the Conference, the city representatives signed the Declaration of the Union of the Capitals of Central and Southeast Europe.
