12th CEE Capitals Union Conference

The City of Zagreb delegation led by Deputy Mayor Ivo Jelušić participated at the 12th Conference of the Central and South-Eastern Europe Capitals Union, held in Tirana on 29th October 2008. Nine out of 15 Union capitals took part in the conference: Athens, Vienna, Budapest, Ljubljana, Nicosia, Podgorica, Skopje, Tirana and Zagreb.

The city of Zagreb has been a Union member since 2004 and has since participated in conferences held every year in one of the Union's capitals. This year's conference subject was Metropolis Development Policies and Programmes.

Deputy Mayor Jelušić presented main policies and programmes for the City of Zagreb development through capital city projects.
The conference ended with reached conclusions and a signed declaration. Next years the Union conference will be held in Vienna.
